Keep your eyes peeled because some of my prized early G&L basses are coming out for actual sale! But don't snooze because they may go back into hiding just as quickly. This is a fine piece in beautiful near-mint condition and it plays and sounds even better than it looks. I'm not prone to exaggerate, either. It has a mahogany body finished in tobacco sunburst and a maple neck with very clean frets and great action. The pickup has the early slot-head pole pieces and the hardware is chrome. Everything is 100% original with just a few minor blemishes and some chrome flaking on the knobs. But the tone, that's the buzzword here. The bass is a veritable G&L featherweight at just 9 1/2 lbs. Includes the original case with the fuzzier brown lining which protects the finish much better.
